Our Story
In 2022 we partnered with Blackmagic Design and DaVinci Resolve to support a fully remote 9 person Resolve post team for Hulu’s Conversations Project – and saved the show almost 60% of what they would have spent on Avid remoting in to a brick and mortar post house. Using Resolve Collaboration allowed the entire team (edit, AE, color, mix, vfx) to work together – in real time – from anywhere in the world. Producers could monitor the work as it happened and there was no need for a physical brick and mortar post house with rental systems or expensive leather couches.
We got some press from the Hulu show and word spread to other producers and streamers who were looking for great DaVinci Resolve talent and support – and were looking to save cash. Secret Weapon Post was launched to fill that demand.
Producer/ Post-Producer Beau Genot spent years overseeing remote Avid work for Yellowstone and Landman, and then leaned on Secret Weapon Post to turnkey remote Resolve work with Gregg Araki’s “I Want Your Sex” and 4k restoration of “Mysterious Skin”. Beau’s cost and time savings convinced him that Avid was a thing of the past… and joined Secret Weapon as Head of Post in late 2025.
We now have the fastest growing global community of vetted DaVinci Resolve talent – from editors to colorists to mixers to VFX all the way through to delivery.
